Come in, you'll see the flat

River Omelet is a folk trio from Barcelona. Their music reminds to irish folk roots with indie pop brush strokes and their songs are often treated from a slightly fantastic point of view, where the listener can disconnect from reality while still empathizing. The lyrics combine urban features with elements of nature, where the city represents the real world and nature is the most fantastic part.

With this first album “Come in, you’ll see the flat”, they search for a very natural sound, pursuing fidelity to the live sound. It’s a conceptual album divided into two feelings: “Come in,”: they invite us to get in, they introduce themselves. They’re here and they’ve come to stay. “you’ll see the flat”: our home is a reflection of ourselves, who we are and how we got here. This is the part in which River Omelet show us their most intimate and personal side.

River Omelet és un trio de música folk del barri de Gràcia, Barcelona. La seva música sona a arrels populars irlandeses amb pinzellades indie pop i les seves cançons sovint són tractades des d’un punt de vista lleugerament fantàstic, on l’oient es pot desconnectar de la realitat mentre segueix empatitzant. Les lletres combinen trets urbans amb elements de la natura, on la ciutat representa el món real i la natura és la part més fantàstica. 

En aquest primer àlbum "Come in, you’ll see the flat" (traducció literal de ‘Passi, que veurà el piset’), busquen un so molt natural, perseguint fidelitat al so en directe. Es tracta d'un disc conceptual dividit en dos sentiments: "Come in,": ens conviden a entrar, es presenten. Ja són aquí i han vingut per quedar-se. "you'll see the flat": la nostra llar és un reflex de nosaltres mateixos, de qui som i com hem arribat fins aquí. Aquesta és la part en la qual River Omelet s'obre en canal i ens mostra el seu costat més íntim i personal.

River Omelet, es uno trío de música folk del barrio de Gràcia (Barcelona), que suena a raíces de música popular irlandesa con pinceladas indie pop. Sus canciones a menudo son tratadas desde un punto de vista ligeramente fantástico, donde el oyente puede desconectar de la realidad mientras continúa empatizando. Las letras combinan rasgos urbanos con elementos de la naturaleza, donde la ciudad representa el mundo real y la naturaleza es la parte más fantástica. 

En su primer disco editado, “Come in, you’ll see the flat” (traducción literal de ‘Pase, que verá el pisito’) buscan un sonido muy natural, persiguiendo la fidelidad con el sonido en directo. Se trata de un disco conceptual dividido en dos sentimientos: “Come in,”: nos invitan a entrar, se presentan. Ya están aquí y han venido para quedarse. “you’ll see the flat”: nuestro hogar es un reflejo de nosotros mismos, de quiénes somos y cómo hemos llegado hasta aquí. Esta es la parte en la que River Omelet se abre en canal y nos muestra su lado más íntimo y personal.
