The Catalan Rhythm'n'blues and Soul band The Excitements, fourth studio album, "Keeping 'on" (Satellite K 2021) is ready. 14 tracks, full of classic melodies that join their trademark Old School Soul and Rhythm and Blues sounds and lyrics about social concerns and interpersonal relationships. This is the first record with the French singer born in Somaliland Kissia San. This new voice has allowed them to broaden their spectrum without losing the strength that has characterized them during all these years. The collaboration in the composition process of James Graham, member of Hannah Williams and The Affirmations (British band with whom they shared their last tour) has opened them to new musical structures and the production of Neil Sugarman, head of Daptone Records, together with Marc Tena, has given the band's sound an extra solidity.
La banda catalana de Rhythm'n'blues y Soul The Excitements, llega con su cuarto disco de estudio, “Keeping ‘on” (Satélite K 2021). Un disco que cuenta con 14 temas, repletos de melodías clásicas que se unen a los sonidos Old School Soul y Rhythm and Blues marca de la casa y a letras que nos hablan tanto de temas sociales como de relaciones interpersonales. Destaca la incorporación de la cantante francesa de origen somalí Kissia San. Esta nueva voz, les ha permitido ampliar su espectro sin perder la fuerza que les ha caracterizado durante todos estos años. La colaboración en el proceso de composición de James Graham, miembro de Hannah Williams and The Affirmations (banda británica con la que compartieron su última gira) les ha abierto a nuevas estructuras musicales y la producción de Neil Sugarman, cabeza de Daptone Records, junto a Marc Tena, ha logrado dotar de una solidez extra el sonido de la banda.
