A Barcelona native with Colombian roots, Chucho Díaz amasses a repertoire based on "nueva trova" and Cuban styles, Brazilian feeling, pop, and funk, with direct, rebellious lyrics and poetic touches of magical realism and social activism.

A proposal halfway between world music, pop, and Afro rhythms, where a roots zamba, a timba with more electric reggae and funk can coexist, and where musicians have carte blanche for improvisation and experimentation.

A poet who dances, a musician who writes, a stage animal.
