After embracing popular song in his first two solo albums, Meridiana ( 2016) and Diagonal (2019), Enric Montefusco establishes himself as a comprehensive artist with the release - next November 11th - of Viaje al centro de un idiota (Buena Suerte- Satélite K, 2022). A musical extension of the theatrical production of the same name that over the last year has been shown at festivals such as Grec, Temporada Alta or Mercat de Música Viva in Vic and at theatres such as Conde Duque (Madrid) or Auditorio de Galicia (Santiago), the new double album by the former leader of Standstill culminates an unprecedented work of multidisciplinary exploration: music, theatre and audiovisual in the creative principle of thirteen movements that propose an experience of high - very high - emotional intensity.

Outside of the market and its supposed logic of consumption, Journey to the Center of an Idiot is divided into Hell and Purgatory , two stages of a long immersion in the abyss of the loss of identity, morality, and reason. With the substantial collaboration of Nico Roig and Quartet Brossa, it incorporates new sounds close to minimalism, retro electronics, and spoken word, reaching previously unheard-of musical registers and, in turn, placing the texts at the center of the dramaturgy.
