JUANITO MAKANDÉ

He decided to be a freelance musician and rejected contact with managers and record labels,1 releasing his first solo album in 2006, which he named Sueña. With this album, he began to delve into the music world, meeting important figures, including singers, percussionists, guitarists, and other industry professionals.2

Already in 2011, despite having recorded everything in 2008, his second solo album, Momentos de Alimentación, was released. Around 40 musicians participated in it and it took a long time to be released because the offers Juanito Makandé received for its publication were not suitable at the time.

In 2014, she released her third album, "Las canciones que escribe mientras volaba," a successful project thanks to a crowdfunding project. She gained further national acclaim thanks to the widespread acclaim of some of her songs, such as "La llave," "Niña vuelara," "Knives in the Air," and "Calores."

In 2015, he announced that he was going to record a new album in El Palmar de Cádiz, which he would title: Death to the Black Birds.3

In 2016, the international music magazine Billboard published that Juanito Makande was one of the 5 new Latin artists to follow.4

In 2018 he released his album The Inhabitant of the Red Afternoon.

In 2021 he published “Synthetic Folklore” and “The Root of the Wind”
