THE SEY SISTERS - RISE CD

The Sey Sisters present their second album, Rise, with which they invite us to experience a heartfelt musical journey from gospel to African music, passing through soul; songs imbued with profound emotion emerge from the fight against injustice, the defense of human rights, and hope for the future. Rise was born from their need to express who they are: Black women born here, with their concerns, their fears, and their strengths. It was born from the need to make visible a social sector that is rarely considered: the Afro-descendant and immigrant community who, despite being born and raised here, struggle every day because their skin color does not determine who they are. Rise is a call to personal revolution. It is a call to personal and collective acceptance. It is a call to visibility.
