María Jesús Cortés - A Cal y Canto - CD

It's an album heavily influenced by flamenco, Cuban, and other South American music. It consists of seven of their own songs plus an interlude to one of them. This project has been simmering for seven years. Several artists have collaborated on it, and it was produced by guitarist Yannick Corre.

In the lyrics of this album, I wanted to express the different stages of my life, conveying a message of inner strength, acceptance of life, but also a dissatisfaction with the hardships of life, in order to be a little freer every day. Its title , "A Cal y Canto," comes from the famous Andalusian saying, referring to my homeland and roots.
