MARIA LA BLANCO - SINGER-SONGWRITER CD

María la Blanco is a singer, guitarist, violinist, and composer who fuses various musical styles in her songs. Her music ranges from bossa-nova to rumba, funk, and bolero. Born in Barcelona to a Galician and Andalusian family, she has recorded her first album, "Cantautora" (SatéliteK 2020). "Cantautora" is a compilation of lessons and experiences transformed into songs that evoke happiness, euphoria, doubt, conflict, and also solutions and the achievement of personal knowledge. The compositions deal with everyday stories, also leaving room to address social issues such as diversity and equality. The recording and production of the album was led by Jack Chakataga, who also helped shape the project. Together with María la Blanco, they have been working and carefully curating the songs.
